​1. Minimum Hire

Minimum hire is 3 nights low season, 4 nights high season and you can hire our Motorhome for up to 21 days “unless agreed otherwise” at a time, with 1000 UK miles included.

2. Passengers

Away Rentals authorises the use of our Stratford Auto-sleeper vehicle for up to 2 passengers including the Driver and our Swift Escape 694 for 5 passengers. Each person to use the safety seat belts provided at all times whilst vehicle is in motion.

3. Drivers & Insurance

Any past motor insurance claims or convictions in the last 5 years must be declared. Drivers must be between 25 and 79 years old. A refundable security deposit of £1000 on our 2 berth and £1250 for our 5 berth to cover. Motorhome Insurance Excess applies to all our Motorhome hires with UK. Driver’s license and with Non-UK licenses held within the EU, Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand. If your license is out with these countries, the license will be checked by our underwriters who will notify

us of any additional excess. An Additional Driver can be added to our insurance for a fee of £25. Main Drivers must provide either paper license or Photo ID license prior to hire commencement plus 2 items of residential proof of the main Driver (2 Utility bills from separate companies less than 3 months old is acceptable.) If the Driver does not have a Photo License ID, the paper license and a passport is required. It’s our obligation to check your licence with a check code from DVLA here: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence you will need your driving licence number / national insurance number and postcode. (Please send Away Rentals this code when requested). Additional Drivers must provide either paper license or Photo ID license prior to hire. If the Driver does not have a Photo License ID, the paper license and a passport is required. Details of any additional drivers are required in advance of rental period. Drivers are personally liable for all legal penalties (e.g.: parking tickets) which are incurred during the period of hire. Maximum of 2 drivers per rental. All drivers must be present at Booking Hire Start Day. We Excludes hirers and drivers who. If aged 25 or over have not held a full driving licence for 24 months. Are engaged in professional gambling, sport or entertainment, hawking or general dealing, street or market trading, or modelling. Have been involved in more than one motoring accident or claim in the last 3 years. Have been convicted of any motoring offence or has a prosecution pending other than parking or one speeding offence. Persons who, whilst driving, have been involved in more than one fault accident during the past 3 years.

4. Motorhome Hire Rates quoted include:

• 1000 UK miles, then 50 pence every mile thereafter*

• UK standard vehicle insurance*

• UK standard equipment & breakdown

* Insurance loading. In some cases, Away Rentals will incur additional charges if

the driver to be insured has a traffic conviction, is using a non-UK driving license

or is in an occupation which is deemed high risk. These charges will be passed

onto the customers.

5. Payment of your Motorhome Rental

Availability is on a request and confirm basis at the time of reservation. A reservation is only binding after it has been confirmed by Away Rentals and a deposit of £150 of the Total Booking Hire Fee has been received. Our terms and conditions including cancellation policy will apply from this point onwards. Once the reservation is confirmed, a confirmation email will be sent out to the customer. Settlement of the remaining balance will be due one-month (30 days) prior to Booking Rental Start date. A refundable security deposit is required 14 working days before rental period starts to cover Insurance Excess and any damages / excess miles or road traffic fines incurred and can be paid via bank transfer, no cash payments in part or full are accepted.

Payment for the security deposit will be refunded within 14 days after end of hire less any incurred costs. I irrevocably authorise Away Rentals to deduct from the security deposit any amounts due by me to Away Rentals arising out of this agreement. The security deposit will be refunded to your debit / credit card or bank transfer within 14 days after the return of the Motorhome provided the vehicle being returned to the correct location, undamaged, with a clean interior with a full fuel tank. We reserve the right to retain a £75.00 soiling fee if the Motorhome is not returned with the interior in a clean condition. Also the toilet and wastewater tank must be emptied prior to the return of the vehicle or an additional £50.00 soiling fee will be charged.
